Avid went to see the lovely Kate Lee from our cafe in Frank Theatre's production of "Up Jumped the Devil" at the Cremorne Theatre. Songs by Nick Cave, masterfully performed by the Frank team, seriously high-camp fun with many costume and set changes and Kate Lee looking oh so sexy. There is even nudity - but in the most tasteful way.

This morning our old friends Dymocks have proposed a levy on Australian publisher's profits to provide funding for writing grants. Cutting a publisher's profits to help writers? Seems strange. Why doesn't Dymocks offer a cut of their profits to help writers? Seems a fairer solution. Read the details here.
