WRITING MEMOIR with Kari Gislason
This is a half day workshop exploring techniques used in memoir with tutor Kari Gislason author of many memoirs including Running with Pirates.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
While writing about family often feels like a necessity, a way to understand our lived experience, it can also be difficult to write engagingly about those who are very close to us. This half-day workshop will offer writing techniques for portraying people we know, for developing themes and questions in family stories, for using family patterns as storytelling shapes, and for including memory and place in our narratives of home.
